SUMMER 2021

AGA is excited to announce some exciting SUMMER OPTIONS for your gymnast(s)!

There are two sessions for summer CLASSES. Summer Session One is in progress, but we can still register your gymnast and prorate class cost.

Session 1:  June 1- July 9th (Registration has been extended through May 31 at 7 pm, BUT if you are interested in registering for session 1 after this date we can probably work that out! Please email us at: [email protected] and we will see what we can do!)

Session 2:  July 12 - August 13th (note-register now but fees will not be processed until June 15th)

AGA offers four class levels including our newest class, the Beginner Amethyst.  This class is for those age 6 and up who can hold a handstand, have an adventurous gymnastic spirit, like to hang upside down, and are excited to try the high bars and jump into the pit.   Check out the Class Registration tab for details - many classes have multiple days offered, so you can choose one, two, three, or four times a week as fits in with your family's schedule.  Class prices have remained the same as previously offered.  If you are uncertain of the level to register for, please check the "Skill Sets" tab at the top of this page.

PRIVATE LESSONS will also be available, although lessons will now be offered as one hour lessons, and may be private or in small groups.  Please note the pricing structure will change for the summer - a single private is $37, a group of two gymnasts is $42, and three or more are $16 per gymnast.  If you are interested in lessons and you are new to AGA, please register on the website and become an AAU member (see "AAU" tab at the top of this for instructions) E-mail us at [email protected], and we will put you in contact with a coach.  Lessons will be billed electronically following each lesson.

In addition to the return of classes, AGA has two exciting GYMNASTIC CAMPS coming up!  We welcome Jon Janzen from MAGS Gym in Mankato, MN.  He is a phenomenal instructor and former collegiate coach.  These fun and dynamic camps will push your gymnast to gain new skills. Camp is strongly recommended for gymnasts who compete. Each camp will be at Aberdeen Central High School Gymnastics Gym, and runs approximately from 9am-4pm with a noon break for lunch/free time, for a total of 18 hours of gym instruction. Light snacks will provided during sessions.  Gymnasts attending camp must be a member of AAU IN ADDITION to registering for camp (see "AAU" tab at the top of this page for instructions).  All camp athletes will receive a T-shirt; designs will be different for each camp; sizes will be requested in a follow-up e-mail.  Unexpected cancellation of camp (such as due to Covid) will result in a refund.  Registration for both camps is live; it is first come, first serve.  Please note payment is required at registration for the first camp, but if you are registering for the second camp, payments will be processed on July 15th with the card on file.

The camp dates are:

Camp 1:  June 11-13 (if registering after May 24th, participants will receive a camp t-shirt however shirt may not be the preferred size. Registration ends June 7th)

Camp 2:  August 13-15 (UPDATE:  FULL!  SIgn up for the wait list!)

Please check here periodically for updates or follow us on Facebook. We can also be reached by e-mail at [email protected]. We regularly check the e-mail, and you can expect to hear back promptly.
